Autumn Fabric Finds!

We just received new books from Lafayette Interior Fashions & Carole Fabrics. Within the books we received I found two books that had beautiful reds & oranges for fall.

Lafayette is one of my personal favorite companies for fabric. They always have beautiful shades & floral patterns. This book is no exception, not only did they have floral patterns but they also have paisleys, stripes & plaids. This is definitely a go to book for Autumn. 

Carole Fabrics book has beautiful solids & plaids to choose from that will get your home ready for the colder months ahead. We loved the fun pattern above so much that we made it into a pillow! This is an easy way to change up your home for the new season!

Horizon Window Fashions Exciting New Changes!

Earlier this week we went to a presentation from Horizon Window Fashions in Orange, CT. We were excited to see many of the new changes in person! I am so happy to be able to show you pictures and talk about some of the new options they have recently come out with.

The most exciting in my opinion is the operable lining option.This exclusive option from Horizon offers the ultimate flexibility of privacy and light control of natural shades. Easily transition from the beautiful translucency of natural woven materials to your choice of either privacy or room darkening when needed. All contained on a low profile 2 1/2" headrail. The best part of this option is the same cost as the attached lining!

Another amazing change is the deluxe returns that are attached the to face and headrail of the woven wood valance to eliminate gaps & reduce the look of "dog ears." They are approximately 1" shorter than the valance height. This is now standard on all natural wood shades. 

Ever noticed between the actual shade, hem pocked & hem bar you get 3 different shades? Not anymore, Horizon now offers a standard acrylic weight bar that will reduce shadows visible through the material! 

They have now been able to reduce light gaps to 1/4" on each side for spring shades!

Modern window treatments reflect style in late 20th century. This style treatments incorporates open floor plans & clean lines. Less is more when it comes to modern treatments.

Traditional style is all about elegance. This style has very detailed fabrics & earthy toned hardware. You will almost always find a layered treatment using a valance to give it a luxurious feel.
